Professor in theoretical condensed matter physics at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (ITFA), part of the Institute of Physics within the Faculty of Science of the University of Amsterdam.

My research interests are centered on the physics of strongly interacting many-body quantum systems including cold atomic gases, quantum spin systems, quantum dots and quantum wires. See my research pages for more details.
